In answer to question 5, there are lots of good "real-life" TV series on right now. Bravo's "Flipping Out" and "Welcome to the Parker" are pretty freaking awesome, as is "Scott Baio is 45... and Single" on VH1.

I gave Paula Abdul's and Corey Feldman/Haim's reality shows a chance, but they are all completely boring and vapid people and are therefore unwatchable, IMO.

I'm also pretty hooked on Kira Sedgewick's "The Closer" on TNT...

I'm glad my s.o. has Tivo, so this non-cable-owner can get her fix.

With this team, it's all about 2010. As far as Davis goes, Sabean got lucky. The Pirates woke him out of his year-long nap just to show him that there was still at least one team run worse than the Giants. Bonds is history... there's no way the Giants can justify brining him back next year for more than $5 mil. Bonds simply doesn't have any pulling power anymore. I would rather watch a young, error-prone team in a half empty stadium that actually cares about winning, rather than a bunch of old guys mailing it in before a crowd of folks on their cell phones the whole game. I've seen a lot of bad Giants teams in my 33 years as a fan but I've never seen a team this BORING!

6) We are Giants fans. For better or for worse, much of this team will still be around next year, and it's all about next year now.

I don't understand why people think getting rid of Barry Bonds will improve the Giants' chances of winning a World Series. He's the best player on the team and a relative bargain when you consider terrible players like Juan Pierre are getting $11M contracts.

The Giants are going to suck for the next few years but Bonds won't be the reason why.

If I recall correctly, Barry still wants the 3,000 hits and 2,000 RBI milestones, so we are all stuck with him for a while.

He is the greatest slugger of our time, but I, for one, would rather see the Giants win the World Series over more Barry Bonds records.

Sadly, I think we can expect to watch a non-playoff-bound Giants squad for a few more years.
