<description>&lt;p&gt;These things are surprisingly crashworthy (for their size).

- They get crappy mileage for the size because the car is still heavy (2000 lb) and the US version had to have a gas engine retrofitted since our diesel fuel isn&apos;t ready for prime time. You have to satisfy US lead foots who, even with their eco platitudes, don&apos;t want to get caught driving a car with wimpy performance. 

- They are ridiculously expensive, at $15K about the same as a bare-bones Honda Civic.

So, for now, it&apos;s all stylin&apos;. Plus, you can angle park two of them in a single parallel parking space.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Smart Cars in Europe are shockingly tiny, so I&apos;m very interested in seeing if the models have had to be redesigned to pass USA safety tests.  I also want to find out if two people can pick up and move the car (out of a parking space, for example, so I can make more room for my land yacht).&lt;/p&gt;</description>
