SFist Tonight

flimschool.jpg

-- Film School, Pela, Union Trade: What's your flavor? Tell me, what's your flavor? (Damn you, earworming Popeye's Chicken commercial!) Windswept indie and psychedelic rock are served up beautifully tonight at this Potrero Hill rock spot. Music starts at 9 p.m. at Bottom of the Hill, 1233 - 17th Street (at Missouri); $10.

-- Ali Liebgott: Lambda Literary Award-winning writer reads tonight. 6:30 p.m. at Duboce Park Cafe, 2 Sanchez (at Duboce); free.

-- Facing East: Salt Lake City theater group Plan B puts on their critically-acclaimed show about a Mormon couple and the suicide of their invert son. Will it be as good as the absolutely amazing and equally Mormon-ish Big Love? See for yourself tonight at Theatre Rhinoceros (Aside: Why does almost every theater in the city use the alternative British -re spelling?), 2926 - 16th Street (at South Van Ness); $20.

-- Happy Hour with the Xocolate Bar: For those of you with sweet teeth or have zany kitchen aprons declaring "Chocoholic Off the Wagon," hit up this chocolate tasting event (and then come crashing back down after your sugar high.) 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at San Francisco Chocolate Boutique, 286 - 12th Street (at Howard).
