You know how you can always tell the tourists in town because they're the ones wearing shorts? Well, that's not the kind of shorts we're talking about here -- we're talking about the SF Shorts Film Festival starting tonight at the Victoria Theater (just one block up from today's Blocker!) and at the Red Vic.

It's a grab bag of short films from here until Saturday -- the screenings are loosely categorized by theme ("But A Good Crazy" we think is our favorite, though "A Tragedy Called Love" sounds good too) and they're showing all the screenings at both the Victoria and the Red Vic. The festival goes from tonight through Saturday the 11th. And if you like beer and music with your films, there's a kickoff party tonight too, at the Victoria starting at 9 with Felonious, and a closing night party at the Victoria on Saturday, featuring the Lovemakers.
