Didn't say the camera was on the walls of Tire Beach. There are various security guards, they do take cat naps now and then.

that camera isn't even on the walls of tire beach, its like two blocks up... there is a security gaurd, but most of the time hes alseep.....glad to see they shaped up warm water for the bums and crackheads.....

be careful. the cops are fucking everywhere out there. Unmarked but easily spotted cars and they are hiding out by the semi trailers. someone should climb that pole and take out the video cam. gavin is an asshole.

Clean safe, streets are simply thoroughfares to get one there from here. Fresh paint cannot coat a child’s mind, unless of course it is graffiti. The pictures in this piece don't show off the place all that well. There is a whole lot more there still. I am curious to how much actually got buffed. Everything or just the easy to reach places? Wow, what a let down. After all the complaining I was hoping for so much more from those pictures. Aside from those 4 main pieces from the article photo, and a couple more in the slide show... the vast majority of that graffiti was pretty ugly and not worth saving if you ask me.

[2] There was a special team of people picking up the syringes that were all over the place. They filled up several bio-hazard disposal boxes. [3] They would not allow people to climb down the broken cement and rocks to get to the water where the wrecked rubber tires and other junk was. Too dangerous to get to it. I was able to get to one spot halfway down and found two old pairs of Calvin Klein jockey style shorts and and an empty bottle of Gray Goose. At least somebody had been doing something in the park more fun than graffiti.

Gavin should have used the money for this towards cleaning up the needles in GG Park. This was a colossal waste of time!!! Why can't he be as diligent about cleaning up something that is detrimental to the people's health?

horray! fresh canvas. I'd bet "2 days" before fresh graffiti shows up. Most taggers keep their hoodies zipped up when they're doing the nasty, so cameras won't be that much of a deterrent, and cops are too far away to get there in time.
