UPDATE: Your Black Muslim Bakery Police Raid
Just as previously thought, Oakland Tribune reports that the evidence (i.e., a shotgun) found during this morning's raid at Your Black Muslim Bakery is most likely linked to yesterday's gang-style killing of Chauncey Bailey. Yikes.

This is about as ugly as it gets, on so many levels.

Ugly and sad certainly... but not really surprising. This group was well known to be on the edge of terrorism for a long time. It's just a shame so many people had to get killed before Oakland did something about it.
What the F*&K is going on in San Francisco and Oakland, Did someone let the Mafia go?
In two weeks there has been over 25 (TWENTY FIVE) shootings, killings and just freaking mayhem.
Someone call the Guardian Angels, anyone this shit has got to stop and stop it NOW!
What is it going to take? Why hasn't the residents taken to the streets to stop this unfathomable violence?
What evidence do you need to take action? Do you need money incentives, tax breaks, or more fear? Seriously, let's get together and STOP THE VIOLENCE this shit can NOT GO ON ANYMORE!
If you are fed up think of a plan, get it in writing, say it out loud to yourself, go to a lawyer go to the local news station, go to community civic center and tell people about it.
I don't support vigilantes, but if that would get the city leaders and the police department and your neighborhood (or hood) to stand with everyone else to stop the violence then lets do that...the blood is a rushing river in the streets ...stop it!

we need a cop on every corner to stop the violence. it works every time. just demand that your government fund the hiring of as many cops as it takes to stop it. this is the best time to force that on the stupidvisors. they cannot object to it any longer.

There are cops policing SF, but they only seem to bother with the neighborhoods that have suddenly gone from bad to hip/trendy. They continue to ignore the neighborhoods that really need police action, and just focus on the ones where rich white people are wandering around.
As for Oakland? Good luck getting a cop at all. Calling 911 = a 5 minute hold. Hope you're not calling for anything that needs an immediate response...
Once people stop the "diddn't see anything" bullshit, violence will stop. "Stop Snichin" has set back violence prevention almost irreparably. How can we help neighborhoods that can't even help themselves?
