<description>&lt;p&gt;Beyond Chron is REALLY reaching with this one. If I didn&apos;t know better, I&apos;d think Pat Murphy penned that article. Then again, it made some sense -- not a whole lot, but some. 

The Chron is too beleaguered a paper these days to really have such an influence on politics. The conspiracy theories espoused by Mr. Shaw are almost comical. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
