No Show Alioto - did you see her attack Starchild for rightfully stating she ducked a vote on the water rates? Claims she fought and won for families! Said not believe everything we read in the newspapers! Then proceeded to smile like a prom queen as every afflicted medical marijiuna patient praised her. The price of dope just went up thanks to the water rate hikes she carried!

The more time they spend on silly legislation like this the less time they have to do real damage to the city (e.g. the parking proposal, or anything a board member proposes really). Hopefully this will drag on for weeks or even months all the while sapping all their resources.

Alioto-Pier is working on inheriting the Queen of Boondoggles title away from Jake McGoldrick. I flipped over to channel 26 last night, and I saw her asking for some poor City department (PUC?) to figure out how much water is used by the San Francisco Fire Department in the City. Say what? Her support to add more parking garages to San Francisco is another example of a boondoggle if we let her (and Webcor's and other developers') way. Does she really want ....; - Increase pedestrian injuries and deaths - Increase bicyclist injuries and deaths - Slow down MUNI with more cars on the road, especially downtown - Deteriorate the quality of the air we breathe and the enivronment in general by encouraging people to drive instead of walk/bike/public transit around town I hope the other 10 Supervisors have the good sense to smack down Alioto-Pier's boondoggles, especially the parking one, and to prod the Mayor into also taking a firm stance against Gap Inc. founder Don Fisher's and Webcor's Parking Measure on the November ballot. Businesses need to know that they would do better with more pedestrians walking past their stores, not more cars on the road that go directly in and out of the one store they wish to visit.

Alioto-Pier is a professional carpetbagger. She ran for Congress in a district where she didn't even know the names of the towns. Why we let this person have 9% of our legislative branch is an ongoing mystery to me.
