SFist Goes To Harry Potter at the Metreon

The Crowd

OK, we didn't actually attend the premier last night. But we were at the Metreon to check out the travesty of The Transformers, and we were right next to the line for the midnight showing of the 3-D IMAX Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. As you can see above, it was a mob scene.

After the jump: more photos, including our only-in-San-Francisco guy!

Full-on Gryffindor

We dug her Gryffindor robes.

Is that a Firebolt she's holding?

Full-Sleeve Tattoos!

Full-sleeve tattoos and a Dumbledore's Army sleeveless shirt! We love San Francisco.

I have a problem with your statement concerning Transformers. It was NOT a travesty; it was really well done.

Our 7 year old son loved Transformers. I'm not saying he has good taste; after all, he's watched the original Transformers movie many times, and says that the theme songs are his favorite.

The 2007 movie is good - we weren't sure what to expect, so maybe that's why we weren't disappointed (unlike our reaction to Shrek the Third and Pirates' World End).

I'm hoping for less humans and more robots in Transformers II. Kinda like the tv series of Cybertron - and where is Hot Shot?!?
