--They arrested someone in the Dolores Park fireworks fiasco -- they don't have enough evidence to get him for throwing the firecracker at Roisin Isner, but they did bust him for setting off fireworks in a public place. [CBS 5.]

Weren't there some witnesses from the incident posting on SFist? Maybe they'd like to contact the police and say yeah or nay if that's the person they saw throw the firework that elminiated this girl's index finger for life?

you fellow daly haters need to tone it down on his blog so we can try and actually engage him in a meaningful dialog. i'm curious to hear what's really going on in this guys mind.
Chris seems to think that every post that is critical of him comes from some room deep in the heart of Newsomes campaign where hundreds of blond haired blue eyed students in between big gulps of kool aid, troll the progressives web sites and say mean things about him. Chris, I am a progressive, I have nothing to do with Gavin, and I voted for Matt, and guess what, I cannot stand you, because you act like a 10 year old kid who does not get his own way.
from the witness accounts on this site, i don't think the guy ever even intended to throw it AT her. he just threw it on the ground, and the propulsion from the firework made it shoot into the two girls. it would seem pretty much impossible to prove that he intended to hurt her.
Drunk drivers never MEAN to kill other people ... well, almost never.
