Remember that couple we told you about that was stealing stuff from open houses? They got busted by the OnStar in their rental Hummer. Police won't reveal where they were, except to say they were "out of state."
DA Kamala Harris went to the Board of Supes to ask for more money to fight misdemeanor crimes (usually your smaller quality-of-life ones). The SF DA's office only has nine attorneys handling misdemeanors, and they've got an average load of 333 cases apiece. They let her hire four more, but not the five she'd requested. (The city budget analyst said she should only be allowed to hire three. Wait until someone starts peeing on the side of the building that the city budget analyst lives in!)
And here's some good news! Pride was totally fine -- the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence did a great job managing crowd safety, and nothing too major happened. That said, two windows got broken by two separate unruly woman (one at the Buffalo Whole Foods at 19th and Castro, one at Citizen Clothing at Castro and 18th), there were three thefts, two pot busts, some public drunkenness, and someone stole a DPW for a one-block joyride. The gangs of ruffians were broken up before it got bad (unlike Halloween) and there were no reported anti-gay crimes. Yay!

here's another blotter that hasn't been reported...yet
