Oh No, Ed Jew!: Neighborhood
As this Sesame Street YouTube clip asks, who are the people in your neighborhood, Ed Jew? And -- good idea, commenter Apioca Ted! Here's a summary of the declarations filed by Ed Jew's neighbors:
--Barry Hermanson: Barry was the State Assembly candidate for the Green Party, and has lived a couple houses down from Ed Jew's "address" for 17 years. Barry met Ed when both of them were running for District 4 back in 2002. It was "somewhat of a shock" for Barry to learn that Ed Jew had been claiming to live on his block for the last few years. He's never seen lights on, garbage bins, or anyone parked outside of Ed's house after the tenants left.
--Neighbor Daniel: Has lived on the block for 20 years. Walks his dog twice a day every day past Ed Jew's "house," and on the late-night walk, has only seen one light on, which looks to be on a timer. Also noticed in early 2007 that the water was running continuously at Ed's place and called it in to the PUC.
More neighbors and neighborhood service people after the jump. Who are the people in your neighborhood? In your neighborhood? In your neighborhoooooooood?
--SF Scavenger garbageman: They haven't picked up garbage from Ed Jew's house in over a year.
--The mailman: He hasn't delivered any first-class mail to Ed Jew's house the entire time he's been on the route (since June 2006).
--Neighbor Donna: Has lived on the block for 19 years. Goes to bed around 2-3 a.m. and has never seen anyone at Ed's house. Also has a dog.
--Former neighbor Anita: Anita used to live on the block for 9 years, and wanted to stay on the street after her lease expired around the beginning of this year. She asked if Ed's house was available to rent because no one was living there. The person she talked to looked "uncomfortable" and said the owner wasn't there.
--Neighbor Patricia: Has lived on the block for 4 years, and has been telling her friends to park in Ed's driveway this whole time because no one was ever there.
--Neighbor Nancy: Was wondering why the owners of Ed's house left a washer and dryer out on their porch for two years.
--Neighbor Darrell: [This one's the good one! You gotta read this one for yourself. He's the next-door neighbor. We will tell you, however, we love the detail that the one time he saw Ed Jew on the property, Ed was carrying a paper bag.]
--Neighbor Mary-Pat: Heard from neighbor Darrell that Ed Jew was claiming to live on the empty house on their block.
A Supervisor is a person in your neighborhood.... in your neighborhood.... in your neighborhoooooood.... A person that you meet each day!

It's a beautiful day in the neighbor-hood, would Jew be mine? Could Jew be mine?
(Apologies to Mr. Rogers.)
And now, in the spirit of the 70s, I dedicate the following song to Mr. Supervisor, on the occaision of turning on the power and water on 28th avenue..
HEY YOU GUYS!
We're gonna turn it on
We're gonna bring you the power
We're gonna light up the dark of 28th like the
brightest day in a whole new way
We're gonna turn it on
We're gonna bring you the power
It's coming down the lines, strong as they can be through the courtesy of The Electric Company
The Electric Company
The Electric Company!
Pure comedy! Maybe Captain Kangaroo can come and save the day for T-Ed!
Protest Ed Jew today from 2PM-5PM in The Sunset!
I just called Ed Jew's office to request his schedule and was informed he will be hosting an open house on Noriega from 2PM-5PM today.
The aide told me it was at Noriega Teriyaki House located at:
1755 Noriega Street (cross street is 25th)
Let's show those pseudo-supporters from last week by showing up with a bigger turn out!
