Friend-of-SFist Matt V passes along these photos of a verrrrry safe looking taxi, sighted outside a Starbucks in the Abandoned Warehouse district of the Mission. "You choose what you pay," it says on the side, which is exactly how Lucifer would phrase an offer.

"the Abandoned Warehouse district"??!?!!? I'm sorry, this is really called NEMIZ, the North East Mission Industrial Zone, and none of these warehouses are abandoned, instead they're home to arts and media groups like 1890 Bryant Studios, Bay Area Video Coalition, Project Artaud, KQED, SomaFM, and you can't forget the folks from William-Sonoma's creative services that take up much of the "abandoned warehouse" that taxi is parked in front of.

No, it's not literally abandoned. But it might as well be, for all the people you'll see while you're there. It's like the parking lot of a strip mall -- the useful stuff is all indoors, and there's no reason all all to be caught out on foot.
