It's Got to Be the Morning After

17chass.1.600.jpgBrewers 5 Giants 4- Tough, bitter loss for those Giants fans still paying attention as the Giants rallied back from a 5-0 deficit and had bases loaded in the ninth inning with one out only to once again fail to get a runner in. How difficult is it to hit a fly ball into the outfield? Anyways, as the nails are starting to be hammered into the coffin, Giants's fans thoughts are turning to 2008. On ESPN.com, Buster Olney says speculation is that the Giants are going to look hard and look long at A-Fraud in the off-season. And the Mercury News got everyone in a tizzy with word from Brian Sabean that he's open to trading everyone, even the Barry. This got Bruce Jenkins thinking of possibilities and the realization that there's not a lot of possibility out there.

A's 6 Reds 1- It looks like as long as the A's play the Reds and not the Red Birds, all is well with the world. Joe Blanton did the pitching deed this time and pitched a brisk two hour game to get his seventh win. The fun news in A's-land however, is that the NY Times spent part of their Sunday sports section ruminating on what Billy Beane could possibly do with the revenues from their big, shiny new stadium. Shorter story: the rest of baseball should be afraid, very afraid.

Am i the only one that thinks that the Gmen should just dismantle the team and rebuild? I wont mind having a few rebuilding years and we sure have a nucleus of young arms.
