<description>&lt;p&gt;May I just say that other transit systems occasionally have problems? I am in New York for a few days and we had to take the subway downtown for business. We needed the 1-local and waited a fairly long time with no train in sight. The express 2 &amp; 3 trains went by at regular intervals (not stopping at our local-only 50th Street station). 1-local trains were going uptown frequently. Finally we heard a 1 train approaching the downtown platform, but it passed right through our station without stopping. It was several more minutes before a packed 1 train stopped for us.

I felt right at home as it took twice as long to get downtown as we expected and it was crowded for the whole ridel.
