<description>&lt;p&gt;The entire compact lightbulb thing is silly. At night, when most bulbs are used, in California, we are producing 6,000 megawatts more power per hour than is consumed.  That&apos;s a lot of greenhouse gasses, especially if the power is all produced by Natural Gas.  Why do we do this?  Beause you can&apos;t let the grid lose its charge.  What happens to this power?  It dissapates.  Pooof!

The only real solution is to have a baseline powersource that is non-carbon producing, AND it has to work at NIGHT.  The only soltuion today is Nuke!
