--As you may have heard in the comments to the latest Oh No, Ed Jew! column, MUNI is thinking about having the N go out to the Caltrain station again. Yay! We may cover this again on SFist later too.

--It's BART's 50th birthday!! Oddly enough, it's soy sauce maker Kikkoman's 50th birthday too. Also turning 50 today: John Treacey, Irish athlete. (Today is also Angelina Jolie's birthday, but she's not turning 50.)

--SFMike stopped by the Gavin Newsom volunteer rally this weekend -- there's pictures of J.Siebel for all you fans!

--They're going to be holding a lottery for "affordable" condos in SF ($300,000 for a studio, $600,000 for a 2 bedroom).

--They're building a very expensive cathedral in Oakland.

--It's unclear whether you can drink at the North Beach Festival this year or not.

--Did you buy ground beef from Albertson's or Save-A-Lot? Check to see if it's been recalled for E.Coli.

--And did you know there's a rule against sitting down on the street on University Avenue in Palo Alto?

Hi Jerry! We're borrowing this lovely picture you took this weekend.
