SFist Tonight

Ever misplaced a grocery or to-do list? Your lost note could appear in Lost and Found in the Mission, a play based on true stories salvaged from scraps of papers found around the Mission District. The production, by Boathouse & Co., includes songs, dancing, beat-boxing and mass hallucinations. Tickets are available on a sliding scale ($15-$25), here, show starts at 8pm. Mama Calizo's Voice Factory in the Jon Sims Center for Performing Arts, 1519 Mission St.,SF.

While you're in the Mission, help celebrate the National Queer Arts Fest at Femina Potens, an awesome gallery space. Tonight's event includes performances by Valerie Gilman, Corkey Sinks, and Kelley Heider, part of the Queer-Feminist Bodies opening show. 465 South Van Ness St., SF.

Don't forget that two weeks chock full of fantasy, sci-fi and horror films jumps off at the Roxie cinema for the 4th annual A Hole in the Head film festival. 3117 16th St., SF.

Get freaky before the freakfest of Burning Man! Ten 15's last party before the desert shindig. Cut Chemist and Space Cowboys are on the tip of the musical iceberg - get there early and dance the night away! 1015 Folsom St., SF.

Can't afford to drop next month's rent on a piece of artwork, but still wanna check out some up and coming artists? Drop by the Red Poppy Art House Auction and get your fill of tasty snacks by Delfina and Chez Panisse, listen to live world music and browse the wares. Live auction starts at 8pm.
