Previously on "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman," the bachelor chose local gals Bevin and Tessa as his final two. And we all know who he ultimately chose, especially since she was spilling the beans weeks ago, but let's take a look at the highlights (or hopefully, low lights) of the season finale.
It was time for the girls to meet Andy's family, which included his parents, his grandparents, and his sister. Because what's better than meeting your boyfriend's parents for the first time, but meeting his ENTIRE FAMILY for at the same time. No pressure there!
Tessa was first, and she was all smiles. Andy's mom thought Tessa was very beautiful, and couldn't stop staring at her, and Andy's grandfather admitted he would have totally hit it if he had met her when he was Andy's age. Seriously. And, as was pointed out on "Best Week Ever," Andy's grandmother is, apparently, Don Imus.
Bevin was next, on the same day! (Tessa got lunch, Bevin got dinner.) Things got off to a rocky start when Bevin talked about a new project she's started at work, which involves studying sexual dysfunction in woman going through menopause. Andy's grandfather and Don Imus looked a little uncomfortable with that, but it was nothing compared to the looks they gave her when she told them she had been raised in the Baha'i faith. Bevin pondered if her being so liberal would go over well with Andy's relatively conservative family. But in the end, she seemed to go over as well as Tessa did. We could have done without Andy's grandfather talking about how it was obvious "Andy is turned on" by Bevin, though.
Back in Hawaii for the last overnight dates, and Bevin went first. They went on a helicopter ride, and Bevin nearly had a nervous breakdown the second she saw the thing. She's not a fan of the flying. Later they talked about what they need from a mate and blah blah blah. Knowing the results, these scenes are particularly ick. His telling her "I want to hear you say it!" when asking Bevin about her feelings for him. And him telling her "I'm in frickin' love!" while making out with her. And her telling him, "I love you" ? All of it, bleh. And then Bevin gave him a watch. What is it with these two and watches?
For Tessa's day, Andy said he was going to let her take the lead, and that it was all up to her. Nice. They went horseback riding and swimming at the beach. Tessa told him she wanted to live the night to its fullest, "as if there were no tomorrow," which totally means she wanted to sleep with him. Back at the hotel room, Tessa decided to express her feelings for Andy in cheesy collage form. He told her "I frickin' love you!" Hmmm....where have we heard that before?
The next day Andy took a run and cried and then bought a (boring) engagement ring. Tessa wrote in her journal. Bevin stared forlornly off her balcony. Tears were shed by all.
And then it was rose time.
And Bevin was first, of course. He told her she was beautiful, that they had an "electric connection" (don't get it wet!), and that he loved her...and he started crying. Oh, bad sign. Man. You know what? Even if you DO think you love the girl you're about to reject, maybe you should just keep those words to yourself. It's not going to make it any easier on her, and it certainly isn't going to go over well with the other girl you're about to tell you love her. They took the long walk to the limo, he told her he would never forget her, and Bevin broke down screaming, "I got nowhere else to go!!"

Tessa's turn. He told her she was elegant, and that she made him laugh, and yadda yadda, and then he got down on his knee and kept on talking and talking before finally bringing out the ring and asking her to marry him. And she said yes. And then they kissed, he picked her up, and carried her out of that paper bag factory forever. Way to go, Tessa! *Sobs* Way to go!
And we're all totally sure they will live happily ever after.
Next week, the show NO ONE is excited about: "Pirate Master"! Yup, there's another local hitting the reality TV circuit. If you know of any others, be sure to let us know!
