Huge thanks to Dapper Dan J for sending along his pix of tonight's Zombie/Bike mob! Dan reports a smaller CM crowd than usual, maybe due to the weather:
It sure was a scene downtown on Friday afternoon. We left our house around six (meaning that we missed the big > pillowfight), but got down to Market and Sansome in time for the first of the zombies to lurch past. Honestly, we've never really seen anything quite like it, especially when a very-downsized Critical Mass started on their way around the city. The photos tell the story better than we can, but we did notice that Critical Mass seemed smaller than usual. Was it the crummy weather, or were most of them pillowfighting, zombies, or both?
Even with a smallish crowd, though, Dan's pictures are awesome. There's no other city on Earth where we'd want to live.

zombies and critical mass and bike messengers all at the same ti9me in the same place
video coming shortly
Downsized? It seemed pretty large to me. Even the Chronicle is saying there were 4,000.
I was there from 5:30 - 6:45. There was no pillow fight.
It was probably a smaller CM due to the 3-day weekend, not the weather. A lot of people blazed out of here on Thursday afternoon.
I saw people in Union Sq. with pillows. I guess they didn't know that the pillow fight was supposed to be at Justin Herman Plaza
brains!, cycling brains!..messenger brains! all in one place!
