The link to the San Mateo Times article (above) has the following quote, which is side-splitting! "Meskunas dismissed the issue of Jew's residency as 'nonsense.' Jew lives at his home on 28th Avenue and spends most of his time either performing his duties as supervisor or working at his Chinatown flower shop, she said. my brother actually lives just a few blocks from Ed's Burlingame house...dunno if he's seen him in the area. Maybe they just have the house so his daughter can go to Roosevelt School or something.

Thanks, Happy Chandler! I keep dropping the shift key on my quotes in my html links these days. Maybe I can pay Ed Jew to fix that on my computer! Anyhow, it's fixed, or should be.

You have a coding error, a single quote in your link to the SFRA (here's how it should read): SF Redevelopment Agency.) The supervisors contacted by the Examiner all seemed pretty appalled: Aaron Peskin referred to the practice as a "no-no," and Sean Elsbernd said in general, he doesn't do it because it's a conflict of interest when the commission's recommendation comes up to the Board for approval.
