We wuz robbed. We would totally have equalized if the ref hadn't blown the whistle one minute early. And that is an absolute 100% irrifutable fact. We could probably have got the ball back at the restart and gone on to put in a winner. I've just put my back out thinking about it. Congrats though, you are the first team to win a competition that you were actually barred from entering. Good lawyering.

fizzandpop--- It was Meeeelan playing (and winning) in Athens on Wednesday. The other team played for a half then laid down for Kaka and Pippo.

Real sports? Padding, helmets, time-outs for TV ad breaks, Barry f**king Bonds, thems is real sports alright. But Seth, I really want to be you though. A life where the popularity of football is the #1 reason you dislike the city, is a trouble-free life indeed. What's you secret Seth?

Real sports? You referring the Whiners' pussball games?!?!?

Or worse, the Gints? Yeah, right. Not much sucks more than baseball.

Detriment of the real sports here? Seth, you must have missed the whole Warriors playoff thing. Never been to a game at AT&T (yes, I know its not Fenway or Wrigley - been to both of them many times), or gone to a Niners game.

While many people might enjoy soccer - you're joking if you think it has any sort of competitive effect on sports in the US.

#1 thing I dislike about SF: soccer is very popular--to the detriment of the real sports played here. If it is so much better in Europe then why don't you just go there.

Stanford Bridge (c). There I was the first to say it. Any royalties should be paid to me. I for one will be rooting for Club America. Roman's little collection of stars epitomise everything that is wrong with the game. Baseball fans will agree, paying for trophies is f**king everything up and, as this season shows, doesn't actually work. Who were playing in Athens Wednesday night? It wasn't Chelski. SWP is the only player of their's that I don't actually detest. But it's an exhibition, so I can't imagine Ballack, Sheva and fat Frank will be playing, so I'll have no one in particular to hurl abuse at. Anyway, we've heard it all before, nothing new here for me to say. We're getting David Vila next year so good luck winning anything. Bye bye Mourinho, bye bye Russian mob money, welcome to the Championship and PNE away.
