SFist Photo: Quasi-Photorealistic Hooters Ad

GO8F3490a%20copy.jpg

We don't know what it is about this huge Hooters ad on a the side of building at the Wharf. The "girls" themselves must be real people who posed for a photo with typical studio lighting. However, the background looks like an Old Master oil painting with no real attempt at realism. (Is that Mona Lisa eating buffalo wings back there? Is she being eaten by a giant snake?) That's fine, but when you look at the faces of the four servers, you can see they've been morphed into appearing cat-like, ala the "Bride of Wildenstein", a New York socialite who purportedly spent millions on cosmetic surgery trying to look more "feline-like".

So, realistic torsos with painted faces - who would have thunk? You make the call after the jump. Cat people?

I have to admit that this is the first time I have ever heard an artistic review of the background or facail features of a Hooters ad. I think the selling-point that rests in the up front and center was missed.

The girls on the right have always looked to me like vampires from "Buffy".

Maybe something subliminal happening here? In-N-Out... Only one block away...Hooters!

They look like men in drag with ghastly eyebrows... over and out!

When seeing this, I always think that considering that Hooters wants to promote the fact that they have hot waitresses, the girls they chose for their massive ad sure are FUGS.
