Early-Morning Fire In The Mission

Two fires in District 6 in two days! A three-alarm fire on Woodward Street, right by Duboce and Mission, at around 2 a.m. this morning in a three-story residential building has killed one resident, injured three people, and displaced 31 others.

The fire seems to have started accidentally in someone's apartment and spread quickly to the adjacent buildings -- the SFFD reports it was a tough fire to put out because the fire spread into the light wells of the buildings, behind metal casing. There's still some hot spots being battled this morning.
