Day Around The Bay
--Whoa, Ed Jew! See below. Aaron Peskin told the I-Team that the FBI was searching Jew's City Hall office for "$100 bills with specific serial numbers listed." That does not sound good at all. Jew told the Chron he's being investigated for accepting $40,000 from businessmen needing permit approvals. The businessmen were trying to open Quickly stores.
--Also, there's going to be massive layoffs at the Chron. Oh, we hope they're not going to start charging for their links -- what would SFist do?
--Carole Migden was in a minor fender-bender this afternoon too. Oh no, her new hybrid! Totally her fault -- she was lost and reaching for her cell phone. Ironically, Migden voted just last year to fine people talking on cell phones in their cars without headsets.
Everything else in light of these three items is anticlimactic:
--Baby falcons born at San Jose City Hall.
--Anti-nuke protests at the UC Regents' meeting.
--Did you know they have a $35 Muni Fast Pass for low-income San Francisco residents?
Picture from Ed Jew in happier, pre-raid times (yesterday's Bike To Work fest), by Drew Rogers from the SF Bike Coalition.

I've been meaning to check out that discounted fastpass; I hear it's pretty good.
Christ, I can't believe I can remember posts I crapped out two and a half years ago.
Okay, so there's a $35 Fast Pass for low-income residents. What was that crap about 18-25 year olds getting a discount from the regular Adult Fast Pass price from Jake "I never met a consultant I didn't want the City to pay to do a study" McGoldrick? Silly moron.
Interesting: The KIRO-TV story has eliminated all mention of Aaron Peskin, attributing the statement about the money to "sources," though when searching Google News (at least around 12:45PM today), you can clearly see Peskin mentioned and quoted in this same story and link.
Er, sorry. ABC7. Can you tell I'm recently relocated from Seattle? :)
Maybe instead of layoffs, the Chron needs to hire a few more copy editors - the headline on sfgate currently reads "Chronicle Cutting 100 Job."
Campers,
Love the picture. Clearly Ed is saying: "C'mon, I'll show you where I hid the money.".
h.
Did they check Gavo's office for any rolled up 100 dollar bills? It's all about the Benjamins baby.
Please, as if Gavin could stand to be in the prescence of them.
Photo-Op #... what number are we on now?
