Good news - after a truly awful ride on the $7 Muni shuttle last year post-race, I had a lovely time on the N-Judah today. I caught it at the Ocean Beach turnaround at 11:15am. There were available seats until 19th Ave, and it was never full enough to turn away people who wanted to board & stand.

Lovely. According to my interpretation of the sign at my regular Muni stop, my ride into work is going to cost me 7 dollars tomorrow instead of 1.50. If I can even get on a train to work at all. I might have to go into work at by 6 a.m., just to miss the rush.

The $7 is good for all service, except cable cars, until 5pm. Single rides are still only $1.50.

Thanks, SFist, for all this handy info! For those of us not running and having other stuff to do on Sunday involving getting around town, is there info out there on what time the route is expected to be open again?

While $7 does seem excessive, you have to remember that they are running a lot of buses to shuttle runners from finish to start. Also it is only a one way fare - they are not getting any fare on the return trip. Add to that OT cost for the drivers, gas, etc ... it sort of adds up. Sadly, it's because of the skyrocketing cost of registration fees, bus fare, and gas that will prevent me from partaking in this year's run. It was a good tradition for me, especially for the past few years when I did both the Davis Double and B2B the following day. I will return for the 100th running of the B2B ... if only for my last running. Best of luck to all runners ... clothed, nude, and costumed!

so I'm going to have to pay $7 for a ride that usually costs $1.50?? Way to gouge the runners, muni!
