Look at that fresh new picture of your 2007 San Francisco Board of Supervisors! Chris Daly even showed up this time! So what's the gang up to these days? (Besides Chris Daly; he's old news.) Here's an update:
Bottom row, left to right:
Michela Alioto-Pier: Giving medical marijuana stores more time to apply for permits.
Bevan Dufty: Pleading with Chris Daly in vain about moving wi-fi forward.
BoS Pres. Aaron Peskin: Making it more like getting a parking ticket if you're caught boarding a MUNI bus or train without paying.
Ed Jew: Getting his section of the street paved before everyone else's; voting with Chris Daly in a strange alliance against the Hunters Point Redevelopment plan.
Tom Ammiano: Running for the State Assembly. Holding a rally about the bad conditions in local homeless shelters.
After the jump: the team in the back!
Top row, left to right:
Jake McGoldrick: Unhappy about the push to recall him from the Board, rekeying apartments after tenants move out.
Sean Elsbernd: Fighting cars parking on the new grass in Stern Grove, fighting for golf.
Sophie Maxwell: Supporting gun control
Ross Mirkarimi: Fighting graffiti. Watch out, Banksy!
Chris Daly: Deigning to make it for the class photo this year!
Gerardo Sandoval: Funding a down-payment assistance program, endorsing Carole Migden.
Who says local government does nothing?

Just got back from the town hall meeting with SFMTA's Nathaniel Ford ... all of about 50 folks were there (and I'd guess 10-20 of those were City or other transit employees who had to be there). Good for Nathaniel having a town hall meeting.
I think the ideas about gun registration and storage laws for guns in the home are all good. I would like to add the idea that San Francisco should liberalize the licensing of sane, law-abiding folks to carry concealed weapons in the City for as long as our police department is understaffed. Rubber bullets perhaps... but the point would be to try to provide some notion to criminals to think twice before mugging 70+ year olds on the streets.
I don't think that's a new photo, bb. Unless the Supes came in wearing the exact outfits as last time, making the same facial expressions and, well, you get my point.
Well, "new photo" meaning the photo they took for the 2007-2008 Board of Supes -- the old photo (for the 2005-2006 Board) didn't have Chris Daly in it, or Ed Jew, for that matter.
I didn't mean to imply that it's a different picture from, like, yesterday or something!
Nice Chris Daly Shave.
BOS Secretary totally rocks, bummer she is leaving after this year.
Why isn't Gavin here I thought he was in all the City pictorials?
BOS Prez Peskin should close his legs.
Why is Ed Jew covering up his right hand?
No matter how much eyeliner is put on Tom's eyes still seem closed.
I totally would rock the boat with Mirkarimi if his current love couldn't kick my ass.
Again, Chris Daly has a nice shave going on there not the woolly mamamoth look.
Who are the other people? Fan club? (JUST KIDDING Sandy, Michela, Sean, Jake)
OK. I know why there is the seeming oddity of Ed Jew "voting with Chris Daly in a strange alliance against the Hunters Point Redevelopment plan."
It's because of Ed Jew's aide Meskunas. She's buddies with a couple of crazies out there in Bayview/Hunters Point. They don't represent the BV, but she carries them as if they do.
