SFist Watches: Your Locals On Reality TV
Long story short, we were on vacation last week and didn't have time to get to "The Bachelor." We'll give you a (possible!) double dose next Monday.

Previously on "Survivor: Fiji." One word: Yau-Man. Or is that two words? Whatever. Our local Survivor kept a hold of his Immunity Idol, and stuck around for another week. Did he go all the way? Is it possible you haven't heard yet?! Well, settle in, because we just might have two episodes to recap here, one of which is the FINALE. Of course, we'll only recap the finale if Yau-Man makes it that far...
Post Tribal Council, and Boo created a secret path to the well, so he could snoop on people as they gathered around the old water cooler for some gossip. A good idea since most people seem to be targeting him for the next Tribal Council. Yau-Man admitted liking the increase in sneakiness that seemed to be overtaking his tribe.
Tree Mail! Reward Challenge! And everyone was convinced it would involve the winning of a car. Were they right? Yes. Well, if you can call a Ford Super Duty truck a "car." Dreamz kept telling everyone HE needed the car more than anyone else, since he was the only one amongst them that doesn't already have a car. The challenge involved an obstacle course and being tied to two other tribe mates. Yau-Man did miserably during the first half, but he, Boo, and Stacy eventually caught up and moved to the second round, which was ax throwing. AND YAU-MAN WON THE TRUCK! He decided to make a deal with Dreamz for the truck: he'd give the truck to Dreamz if Dreamz would promise to give Yau-Man the Immunity idol if he and Dreamz made it to the final four, and if Dreamz actually won the Idol. That's a lot of ifs. Dreamz took the deal--even though he doesn't even have a driver's license--and then, to top it off, Yau-Man sent HIMSELF to Exile Island. Dreamz, in the meantime, traveled with his new truck to deliver some goods to a local school.
On Snakes On an Island, Yau-Man explained that he thought Earl had gone to the island enough times, and he didn't think Cassandra would survive it at all, hence the sending of himself. He also said he felt making the deal with Dreamz was an easy way to get rid of Dreamz, but Dreamz admitted he knew just what was up Yau's sleeve, and he realized he'd have to get rid of Yau BEFORE the final four.
Immunity Challenge! Hooking balance beams and buoys and crossing over water. Boo won. Back at camp, Boo was pleased as punch to win Immunity since he was obviously the first choice for a vote out. Yau and Earl discussed the latest clues about the location of the Hii, and sure enough, Earl found it.

Dreamz started to work on Stacy and Cassandra to take out Yau. The secret to making that plan work would be giving no clue to Yau-Man that that would be happening, so he wouldn't think to use his idol. But right before Tribal Council, Yau admitted to Earl that he had "bad vibes"...
Tribal Council! Yau's giving away of the truck was discussed, and the possibility that he had a big target on his back was mentioned. When Probst asked if anyone wanted to use the idol, there was a looooong pause, and finally Yau-Man handed his Hii to Probst. Votes: Three votes Yau-Man, two votes Stacy, and since those votes for Yau didn't count, Stacy was a GONER. Well played, Yau-Man. Well-played.
Which leads us to the finale, and its three, count 'em, THREE tribal councils...
Previously on "Survivor: Fiji," a whole bunch of people we don't remember nor care about were voted off. Yau-Man prevailed.
Post Tribal Council and Yau-Man was afraid that he'd really be a target at the next council, so he tells Earl he might have to borrow his Hii, Uh, I don't think Earl's gonna go for that...Yau then realized his only hope is to win Immunity at the next challenge....which happened very quickly. It was a dreaded blindfolded maze challenge. These things always make us cringe what with their many banged shins, chests, knees, and skulls. But despite all of that violence, Yau-Man managed to make it through the maze first and WON IMMUNITY!
Back at camp the talk was around whether to vote out Boo or Dreamz. Boo tried to convince Earl and Yau it would be better to go up against him in the final than it would be to go up against Dreamz. At Tribal Council, Dreamz took issue with the notion that he as trying to garner sympathy votes, but Yau had no issue with everyone saying he was a popular player, and thus would be tough to beat in the final vote. Come vote time, Earl decided to use his Hii, but it turns out he didn't need to as he didn't get a single vote, and Boo was sent packing.
Final four! But before we get to the Immunity Challenge, we have to go through the boring "let's pay tribute to the losers who got voted off before us" tribute sequence. Although it does give us another chance to see Sylvia, our other local tribe member. Remember her?

Immunity Challenge! Endurance challenge! Lying on a plank on your back, grabbing on to a bar, water puring on your head. And the angle of the plank gets increasingly steeper. Shocking no one, Cassandra fell out first, followed by Earl, and then Yau-Man, and then Dreamz, which means Yau-Man was guaranteed Immunity...right?
Back at camp. Cassandra asked Yau who she should vote for and he told her Dreamz. Oh, Yau. Why not just vote out the useless Cassandra, alliance be damned, and keep Dreamz around as a thank you? If they just agreed to do that, then Dreamz wouldn't even have to think about giving Immunity away. And whaddya know, come vote time, Dreamz WENT AGAINST HIS WORD and kept Immunity for himself. And yes, Yau's alliance turned against him, and voted him out.

Oh Yau-Man. SO CLOSE!! We were this close to a two season local "Survivor" winners streak! So painful! Gotta give Yau-Man some credit for telling Dreamz during the jury Q&A portion of the final Tribal Council to enjoy the truck with no guilty conscience (not that Dreamz has a conscience) as it was his mistake he made the deal in the first place. We hope Dreamz enjoys that truck, because it's all he's gettin': Earl won the million.
During the reunion show, Yau-Man proved once again he's a nice guy by having no hard feelings against Dreamz. Dreamz, on the other hand, proved once again that he's a total ass when he admitted he thought about giving the truck back to Yau, and then decided to just keep it. We understand that "Survivor" isn't a show about honesty and integrity; it's about outwitting, outplaying, and lying....but we still hate Dreamz.
