A's 6 Royals 1- Some columnist on ESPN's Page 2 writes that “if the A's make the playoffs, it'll be Billy Beane's biggest magic act yet” and then promptly lists the A's starting lineup on Sunday-- a lineup full of a lot of whos? never heard ofs, and Snellings-- and notes that they still manage to win. Last night, the A's continued on with their winning ways as Chad Gaudin got his second win of the season and if anyone had him on their fantasy team before all this, they need to get out more. Seriously, Beane could probably throw his pool boy out there and have him win a few games (hey, Billy, if you read this, give us a few days and we could probably learn a few pitches). The other good news for A's fans is Chavy had an actual good game and got three hits.
Mets 4 Giants 1- This game was pretty much over within the first few minutes as Cain gave up three runs in the first and the Giants weren't able to muster much in the way of a rally. Actually, if you take away the first four pitches Cain threw, all hit for doubles, he pitched pretty well. Which makes you wonder what happened between those four pitches and the rest of the game? Maybe he just needed to throw four more pitches in warm-ups. The lone Giants run came from a Barry homer, #745
