SFIFF: Tom DiCillo’s Delirious

IMG_2084a.jpg

"Director Tom DiCillo and rising star Alison Lohman took the stage at the Kabuki to introduce their new movie last weekend."

The Centerpiece film at the San Francisco International Film Festival was the satirical romantic comedy Delirious. Steve Buscemi is a down on his luck paparazzo who takes in a homeless wannabe actor played by Michael Pitt (who, in real life, used to be a homeless wannabe actor on the streets of New York). We're not supposed to get into the details, but don't be surprised when adorable Alison Lohman comes in and almost steals the show.

The SFIFF is great because everybody around you is excited to be there. Delirious played to a packed house - we saw many people turned away. Most of the audience hung around after the screening to listen to Tom DeCillo and Alison Lohman talk at length about production of the movie.

The Tomatometer over at Rotten Tomatoes for this film is currently at 100% positive, based on a handful of early reviews. Look for this movie to be in a theatre near you in September.
