Got your ruching done? Better hope so, because Tim Gunn's coming to town!
Everybody's favorite Project Runway mentor is in the area on Friday and Saturday to promote his new book Tim Gunn: A Guide To Quality, Taste, And Style, which covers topics like: how to shop (broken down into designer, chain, and vintage), creating your own personal style, and even how to improve your posture. ("I don't know. I just don't love it," we hear him saying worriedly to a slouching hipster.)
So exciting! Stop by, pick up a book, and check out the crowds -- we're sure there's going to be some fine clotheshorse-watching (and tag your Flickr pictures SFist so we can all see!) Next: can we get Nina Garcia, fashion director of Elle Magazine?
Tim's appearances:
Friday May 4: Rakestraw Books in Danville: 7-9 p.m., which features a 25 minute Q&A but is $30 and also features a fashion show;
Sat May 5: Books Inc., SF Opera Plaza at noon (with only a 10 minute Q&A);
Book Passage in Corte Madera: 4-6 p.m. (also only a 10 minute Q&A).
