It's Got to Be the Morning After

Red Wings 3 Sharks 2- The series is now tied again after San Jose blew a 2-0 lead and lost the game in OT. If you consider that the Sharkies other loss in Game 2 also came after they had a 2 goal lead, the Sharks only have themselves to blame for their predicament. Even worse, the Wings scored their tying goal with .33 seconds left in the game.

Giants 5 Rockies 3- It was the Barry Show last night as Barry Bonds hit #743 and had 4 RBIs in a game started by Barry Zito. Zito didn't get the win, however, Brad Hennessey did. Those pesky Giants rallied yet one more time to get the win too, as they found themselves down 3-2 in the 8th. With bases loaded, Barry hit a two-run single and Bengie Molina, a player who always seems to be in the mix somewhere in the game, added another run with a hit. Armando Benitez didn't go for the save because he was feeling pain in his right knee-- that's either good news or bad depending on how you look at it.

Red Sox 6 A's 4- And speaking of pains, Mike Piazza became an official member of the A's last night as he sprained the AC joint in his right shoulder in a collision with the Sox's Mike Lowell. He'll be out 4-6 weeks as he becomes official player #6 on the DL for the A’s. There's so many players on the DL, maybe the A's should sell naming rights to their DL. Like for Tylenol or Kaiser. In the loss, the A's were done in by bad fielding as their outfield had trouble with the ball and Jason Kendall threw a ball away.
