Subbing in for SFist Jon this weekend!

--No problems with Critical Mass yesterday -- but let's see what Matier and Ross come up with over the next few weeks, though.

--Golden State wins again! NO WAY. GSW lead the series 2-1.

--There's a new GavinWatch video: Virtual Question Time. We like the magic fairy dust sound effects!

--Beth Spotswood gives Gavin a hug! OOO.

--Adventures in Urban Living reports in from the T-Third trenches.

--Sweet Cal kids -- they waited over 6 hours to get tickets to see Jimmy Carter.

--and they're washing the Transamerica Pyramid.

i'm surprised you guys didn't post anything about the insanity on valencia & 16th last night. that was a pretty loud and visible shooting and the streets were packed with sfist reading hipsters. i can only imagine the comments you would've gotten...

That item was going to go into tomorrow's Day Around The Bay! (Along with the shooting at Polk and Sacramento.) Here's the entry you were going to see:

--There was a triple shooting at Polk and Sacramento early Saturday morning. No one killed but the victims were described as "very uncooperative" with the police. Also, a woman was shot in the leg at 16th and Mission (and is currently in stable condition).

yikes. quite the bit of violence last night. the mission shooting was actually at 16th and valencia (not mission) in front of yo yo's sushi. there were tons of shell casings on the ground and some sweet old man braved the watching eyes and gave a full statement. kind of rare these days. most people won't speak because they fear they'll be next.

It felt good to read about Critical Mass being a nice, peaceful bike ride yesterday.

On the other hand, I was at 16th and Valencia tonight - gunshots at Valencia? Crap, that's the coolest street.

hipsters reap what they sew. now their hood gets shot up. no one talks to hated pigs. i mirths at you.
