Prom Dresses and Combat Boots in Union Square

The organization Teens for Safe Cosmetics held a rally in San Francisco yesterday to raise awareness of carcinogens in personal care products and cosmetics. The invitation's recommended attrie? Prom dresses and combat boots. The big claim? Of the nearly 6000 chemicals used in the industry, only 11% have been assessed for safety. Is that true? Sounds like a little more testing is in order.
