It's Got to Be the Morning After

Lots of sports today
Warriors 120 Blazers 98- Okay, let's put this in perspective, the last time the Warriors made the playoffs was thirteen years ago. This is what the world was like back then:
Shannon Doherty was about to be kicked off "Beverly Hills 90210"
"Real World San Francisco" aired
Pulp Fiction was released
Biggie and Tupac were still alive and Kurt Cobain was alive for everything but the tail end of the season
People were into Ace of Base
Netscape Navigator was introduced
OJ got into his buddies' Bronco and all hell broke lose.
Man, those were good times.
Sharks 3 Predators 2- The Sharks took a 3-1 lead in the first round of the playoffs with one of those games were everything was in sync. They attacked on offense, banged some heads, and had great goaltending to win their second game in a row. In the game, Milan Michalek scored two goals and Nabokov made twenty-three saves to get the win.
Baseball after the jump
A's 3 Angels 0- Unlike a certain team we won't mention, the A's had a starting pitcher dominate and a bullpen that kept it going. The A's handled their arch-nemesis and Vlad-less Angels pretty easily this time as Dan Haren pitched seven innings of shutout baseball and the bullpen held it up. The A's got two in the third and a run in the fifth in what was pretty much a balanced attack. The Angels have now lost six in a row and the A’s have won four out of 5.
Giants 6 Cardinals 5- We picked this game up in the 7th with the Cards up by a run, 5-4 and thought there was no way this Giants team was going to rally. An inning later, Barry B just crushed one into the Bay to tie the game. The Giants bullpen actually did a really good job and held the Cards scoreless up until the 12th when a very hot Rich Aurilia singled in Randy Winn to win it. Game ball goes to Jonathan Sanchez who pitched three innings of relief and didn't give up a run and, yes, Armando Benitez who looked just nasty out there for an inning. Of note was Albert Pujols being thrown out in the 12th inning when he stopped for a second on his way home
