Josh, Frjtz is, without doubt, a poseur / wannabe / hipster establishment. Take a look at the people in there next time. Watch how they all give you that "Yes..I'm cool...I'm drinking a Chimay... please notice me" glance. Or just wait and listen in to "that guy" who will invariably sidle up to the DJ and make the "Hey,I'm a cool DJ type too" comment that he worked on for the last ten minutes. However, some of the food is GREAT! Especially the salads. I claim that the Gaugin salad is, dollar for dollar, the best food I've ever bought in S.F. The sandwiches are weak, and I haven't explored the crepes. But puh-leez tell me you didn't just call them "french" fries. They're good alright, but they're Belgian.

Throwing drinks on someone just because you disagree with them politically is truly Ann Coulter-esque. Uh, I think you're a little confused there. To my knowledge, Coulter has never thrown a drink on anybody she disagreed with. She has, however, been assaulted with pies in the face by people who disagreed with her. I'm not a fan of hers, but let's keep the criticisms accurate.

The big picture item is why our mental health system is so weak that this isn't a shock to the community. The term "batshit insane" is a applicable and I won't be surprised if some day all the airchair quarterbacks yell about how Mitch Katz never acted despite all the warning signs. I'm sure all the networks will appreciate the youtube trail.

i was just nudged to look at this. i also just returned home from work. i work on a locked psychiatric unit. we all get in there about 7am and have been up since 'bout 5am. That? is its own surreal world. AND , as nutty as it sounds? I wouldn't trade THAT in in FOR the world. yet hey, silllyness? i would be hypocritical!if i assumed any tone of righteousness, (even tho i DID just get off of a unit that isn't always silly......argh.) we all NEED HUMOR. ....but hey, go visit the bus stop in front of sfgeneral some day...., point? I agree with whomever said: "i love that this (the hair girls and wine thrown which c'mon! that aint er, nice.......!) is all being taken so seriously"-whatever camp they come from. Thing is? well, in my petitte opine? lemme paraphrase a circular thought: Artn Politics...if SOMEone SOMEwhere is getting people to THINK and react! (and that includes a blog that also includes ALL information both pro and con of say, any "campaign" well, then we? everyone-- are/is making some progress, no? as a community here in SF... i think? it is called, discussion......., about the real deal stuff in this city, that all of us, HERE, i hope, DO care immensly about. to address the "hair" bloggers.well? i must stay open about them, tho well.i dunno......,"Art" is anything that provokes a reaction, as long as no one is hurt. First and most importantly, Frjtz is not a "hipster bar" - they have french fries. Amazing french fries with all sorts of kicky condiments like curry ketchup. Also: this was a totally staged setup and a distraction from getting the troops out of Iraq NOW so we can stop global warming.

Dude! The incident is shocking mostly because of its stupidity. Surely, the video will come up during the campaign as an example of the immature and inappropriate behavior of Gavin supporters. Ironic, because I seem to remember Gavin accusing (without evidence) Gonzalez supporters of engaging in "juvenile tactics" in 2003. I am incredulous that these women are dumb enough to not only commit such shenanigans, but to broadcast it! Ok, this is going to sound catty, and, well i guess it is. But "winsome" is a favorite adjective of mine, one that recalls images of things I remember fondly, including several books I didn't finish that I am sure use the word "winsome" at some point. You know, that person you met on on the train to budapest, or on a bus to Nairobi, who seemed so unusually approachable, yet "deep". But I digress. What I DON'T expect, when I hear the word winsome, is a couple of "Joey" rejects from a Ramones tribute band. I'm just sayin...
