It's Got to Be the Morning After
Sharks 5 Predators 4- Gee whillikers, this was a fine way to start a series, a double overtime nailbiter that gave the Sharks a 1-0 advantage in the series. As the saying goes, all you need to do is take one game while on the road and you're in the drivers seat. The Sharkies had a 4-2 lead with seven minutes left in regulation time, but the Predators rallied for two goals, with the tying goal scored with less than a minute left in the game. In not-so good news, Jonathan Cheechoo was knocked out of the game after injuring a knee in the second period.
White Sox 6 A's 3- If the Giants are giving their fans agita for sucking so badly, the A's are going to give their fans agita for way too many close games. It seems like almost every game they've played, especially in the last week, have been down-to-the-wire nail biters. This game was no exception as the White Sox extracted revenge for the A's ninth-inning rally on Tuesday by staging a ninth inning rally of their very own. The A's were up 3-1 going into the eighth when Jermaine Dye hit a two run homer off of Justin Duchscherer. Then, in the ninth, Huston Street walked A.J. Pierzynski after two questionable calls all of which led to three run inning.
Padres 4 Giants 0- Remember yesterday when the Giants scored six runs. That was awesome wasn't it? Good times...good times. And just for the record, that's the Giants' third shutout in eight games.
