Michelle Tea, Eileen Myles and Ali Liebegott headline this roster of talented authors, poets and performers presenting excerpts from their latest works tonight, at the Edinburgh Castle. Kicking off at 8pm, this queer/feminist literary soiree will be hosted by local fave Michelle Tea, founder of the original Sister Spit experience that originated as an all-girl open mic night and morphed into a national tour, along with Annie Oakley (of the Sex Workers Art Show). Special guests include local authors Beth Lisick , Katia Noyesand Bay Area hip-hop MC Katastrophe. Edinburgh Castle, 950 Geary St., SF.
Movie Night @ The Independent
Avoid filing your taxes for one more night and head over to the Panhandle for for a screening of Stranger Than Fiction, a Will Ferrell film about an IRS man who is slowly, but surely, coming undone.
