We love when people send us little things that are going on in the city. It's that whole citizen journalism thing at it's best. Today, we have somebody who saw a recent development in a story in today's Examiner. Hey, and if you got something you think we'd find interesting, drop us a line at editor at sfist.com
"So I just had to give you the latest update on what the Examiner (yeah, I forgot my book at home and had nothing else to read) calls an "Ad hoc garden" in Inner Richmond.
I live across the street from this garden and happen to spy some action today I thought I'd share with you. Since the story was published, there has been someone watching over the garden during the day. Today, two people got out of a car, and over an hour, appeared to be making plans for the sites: walking the border of the garden, making hand gestures to wipe things out, etc. The lone watch person for the garden got in their face about it and the woman in the business suit (perhaps Carol Cosgrove?), whipped out her cell phone and called the cops! (You know these green thumbs turn violent when someone fucks with their snow peas.) Anyways, it seems like plans are in the works. There wasn't any arrests, but I did get some great pics!"
