That center left turn lane is so dumb as there is hardly anywhere that it is legal to turn left! No wonder everyone parks there.

the important question is will we still be able to park in the turning lane while getting our grub on at the phoenix/ramblas/limon, our shop on at therapy, and our drink on everywhere in between? i'm not sure why we are able to do this now, but i ain't complainin'!

They should close Valencia street to cars between 16th and 24th, move the 26 bus to Mission, and make Valencia into a pedestrian mall with bike lanes. Nobody with a clue drives on Valencia anyway, since it's always under construction and Guerrero is much faster.

I'd encourage folks to check out www.SFBetterStreets.org and come out to City Hall on Thursday at 5:15pm for the kick-off event. The City is trying to establish some standards for our street designs to help with rain run off, make the streets more pedestrian-friendly, and other stuff .... Mayor Newsom will be there to speak a little along with Supervisor Mirkarimi. Potential other Supervisors attending include Alioto-Piers, Ammiano, Dufty, and Peskin. Where's Supervisor Daly? Aren't better streets important to our District 6 too? Hmm....
