Party with Viv (her work, she will be there in spirit only) at the de Young's exhibition spanning 36 years of her fashions. At 7 p.m., the film South Bank Show will screen. Corset lovers can admire and even try on some get ups created by Art Institute of SF students. de Young Museum, 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Let us plan your Saturday morning for you. After a nice cuppa joe and pastry from Frog Hill Farms in the Ferry Building, drop your schmantzy produce bag and run to Book Passage, where Chronicle regular Georgeanne Brennan reads from "A Pig in Provence" at 12 noon.

But what do their names all mean? Church of SubGenius members Dr. Howland Owll, Dr. Philo Drummond, Puzzling Evidence, and Bishop Joey celebrate their latest work: "The SubGenius Psychlopedia of Slack, Vol. 1" Sunday at 7 p.m. at City Lights Bookstore, 261 Columbus Avenue.
