To get there, the Warriors held onto a victory over the Seattle SuperSonics thanks to a last second shot by Baron Davis. The Warriors actually had a sixteen point lead at one point in this game but frittered it away as the Sonics caught up. Unlike a previous game against the Sonics, the Warriors rallied to win it at the end.
