SFist Tonight

Tonight, tonight, la-la-la-la-la-la tonight.
Fly thee to Phoenix Books! Not only do we love their calendar and used and new book selection, we're tapping our toes at the notion of musical entertainment and readings by Jane Juska, Jon Longhi, Meredith Maran, Bucky Sinister, S. Clay Wilson and more. Brownie points to those willing to find out exactly what word Sinister has tattoed on his gums. Phoenix is proudly celebrating their 22nd Anniversary with this party and sale. From 6 to 9 p.m. at 3850 24th Street in Noe Valley.
Orange Crush! If you're headed to Livermore this weekend, stop in at Alden Lane Nursery's annual citrus tasting, where tangelos, grapefruits, mandarins, lemons, and oranges will be sampled. We recommend you do this after any wine tasting. Remember, citrus prices are expected to climb, so eat 'em while you can. Aaron Dillon is a citrus expert, and will be there on Sunday at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 981 Alden Lane in Livermore. Telephone: 925-447-0280.
OK, we couldn't resist this one. We've all probably been naked and vulnerable before, but it likely was NOT related to a grove of oak trees. Naked humans tastefully "communing with trees": what the hell does that mean? Find out at a peaceful community art event from the TreeSpirit Project tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. If you participate, you will sign in and eventually bare all; all ages, sizes, shapes and colors welcome. The pics are pretty cool. Event takes place at UC Berkeley Memorial Grove off Piedmont Avenue near Bancroft Way and the International ("I") House. If you go, please oh please let us know how it goes.
