Han Shin showed up in court in Contra Costa County yesterday to plead not guilty to the charges that he tried to run over an ex's roommate with his car in San Ramon. He smiled and wished the judge a good day. Meanwhile, the authorities also arrested an Oakland man who's been stalking Schwarzenegger.
Good ol' Dan Noyes! His I-Team's sued MUNI to get access to bus safety records, and they just won an order from the court for MUNI to turn over records of complaints filed against drivers. While the court won't let them see the names of the individual drivers, the I-Team will get to see the complaints filed against them. Did you know over 1000 complaints have been filed against 25 particular drivers? The I-Team, bless their hearts, found out the identity of one of them and is giving him the dogged I-Team treatment (video) we all know and love. (Driver pictured at left)
And Marin bikers are outraged that the Marin County Open Space District strung barbed wire across a park trail that bikers use at chest and knee height, and embedded dangerous poles partway in the ground. They moved a bunch of rocks onto the trail as well. Bikers note that the wire could cause severe injury, and if you hit one of those poles, it could impale you. The Marin County Open Space folks are saying no one should be biking on that trail, but concede that maybe this wasn't the best idea on their part either.
