SFist Treasure Hunt Contest

chinatown-gate.jpgWe always thought Chinatown would be a great place to do a Treasure Hunt as we're pretty sure you could find anything there-- artwork, toys, opium, you name it. Well, there is an official Chinatown Treasure Hunt, the 17th annual Chinese New Year Treasure Hunt, and we just happen to be holding a contest to giveaway tickets to take part.

Here's the particulars. It starts on Saturday, March 3rd at 4:30 PM and begins at Justin Herman Plaza. The hunt will take you through Chinatown, Telegraph Hill, and North Beach. You get together with a bunch of friends, join a group, and go around figuring out clues. And it's not quite so easy too, check out this sample question-- "Where George and Betsy meet, there's a man who's going with the grain." The answer? Where George Washington and Betsy Ross meet at the south end of Ross Alley (in Chinatown) is one of four murals depicting a workman carrying a sack of rice.

No, we didn't get that either.

The contest runs til Feb 28th in which case we'll announce the winner. We have three pairs of tickets to give away.

There refer to the intersection of Washington and Ross, that's where they "meet".
