Papercut's Jason Quever

Coming back from a long weekend is always a d-Rag. Oh, what’s that you say? You didn’t get President’s day off? Even more of a reason for you to take an SFist prescribed work-night break and hit GAMH tonight. One of the best local music surprises we’ve had lately is the Papercuts. Their second album, Can’t Go Back, is just out on Gnomonsong, and has been on SFist’s rotation since we got a copy. You can get a flavor of the band and listen to a few tracks at their myspace page. Jason Quever, a NorCal native, and long time San Francisco resident is the creative force behind the Papercuts proves his local-ness in the following interview by specifying different taquerias for different dishes, and by his love of Thrift in the Mission.

Papercuts open for Grizzly Bear at GAMH tonight show starts at 8 pm.
