Ralph Nader Pours on the Haterade

225px-TinaTurner.jpg

Ralph Nader is in town this week to promote his new book, The Seventeen Traditions. He did an interview with KGO radio criticizing Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and 2008 Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton. Here are some choice quotes, per the Chron:

On Hillary Clinton: "She's just another bad version of (former President) Bill Clinton.'' And finally: "She has no political fortitude." Damn, that's worse than Donatella Versace telling Hillary to wear more skirts!

Ralph wants progressives to start a "Pelosi Watch" group. Somebody better alert GavinWatch! We believe they called dibs, Mr. Nader.

The Party-Crasher also said Presidential hopeful Barack Obama "has capacity" but, like Clinton, "He hasn't shown that much political fortitude." We're guessing Ralph won't be appearing on Oprah any time soon.

And the bombshell: Ralph is "considering" throwing his hat into the 2008 presidential race. May we suggest Tim Robbins as a running mate?

I wouldn't call Nader's words "hate". Nader is being honest. Since when is criticism automatically considered "hate"? Calling Nader's words "hate" smacks of Peter Ragone calling Newsom's critics "haters". It also smacks of demonizing dissent.

Peter Ragone is a Big, Fat, Idiot

Actually, little, petty, fat, idiot

oh yeah, this is the Ralph Nader that has lived in DC for decades, but hasn't registered to vote there, not paid a dime in city income taxes. He has the nerve to tell them how to run the schools and libraries though.

Nader is a narcissistic, pathetic old man who has done nothing for our country. He is a spoiler who put Bush in the White House and he stirs nothing but contempt in others especially those of us formerly in the green party to which he has disgraced.

Blah blah blah. "Nader's a this and that". Anyone know when and where his next SF public appearance will be? I ant to see him in person again.

No other person alive today has done more for his fellow citizens than Ralph Nader. He has sacrificed much and worked tiressly to make life better for all of us. He should have our respect and gratitude. Thank You Ralph Nader.

Nothing for our country???

Yeah, um...how about seat belts?

Somebody ought to slap that senile old coot up along side the head. All he does is rain on other folks' parades, runing meaningful political campaigns while contrubuting nothing of substance to the natioal discourse. What the hell does he do between presidential windmill tilting, sit in DC playing with himself?

And the folks who support him are worse than Tom Delay Republicans.

The issue of corporate power in the US is not being included in the national debate. If Ralph Nader runs in 2008, he will surely widen the debate to include this important all-encompassing issue; that is, if the other candidates will
opt to debate him. Not many have the courage.
He is a smart man with original ideas and rational solutions.
