SFist Tonight Beats Its Heart Out with a Pillow Fight
One of those things you learn in rehab is to take it one day at a time (Valerie Bertinelli notwithstanding), though Valentine's Day can be one of the more excruciating days to get through, just dealing with the high schoolers on MUNI with the balloons, oversized stuffed animals and flowers alone. Difficult as it may be, remember, tomorrow it's all over and the candy is on sale.
But tonight, it's the 2nd annual Pillow Fight at Justin "PeeWee" Herman Plaza (Market & Embarcadero) when the Ferry Building clock strikes 6pm. Bring a pillow and follow the simple rules: nothing in your pillow but pillow, don't hit anyone without a pillow, and don't hit anyone operating a camera. Please bring a few trash bags to share and help pick up afterwards. (6pm)
Maudlin? Morose? The 540 Club (540 Clement St. between 6th and 7th Aves.) hosts Suicide Sinatra! The Chaperone spins gloomy Sinatra ballads, along with other appropriately gloomy selections from Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Johnny Hartman, and other wrist-slitting characters who know what Valentine's Day is really about. The grimness will be compounded by Ashely and Windy's morbid Valentines, Best Break Up Story Contest (complete with valuable alcoholic prizes!), and other distinctly a-romantic activities. They'll also take over the 'tables 'round midnight (when the Chaperone slinks off to slit his wrists) to spin gloomy '80s music from the likes of Morrissey and Joy Division. (9pm to close)

That pillow is AWESOME.
damn, sure is. I'd hit that.
Is that REALLY a pillow from their wedding? Or some photo shop deal. It's so cool either way.
