The fact that in the past month 3 people have been shot within 500 feet of Muir Elementary gives me pause.
i'm a big proponent of global warming but we have to stop this madness with every climate story turning into a global warming story. it defeats the purpose because the moment we have the reverse happen (cooler temps, lots of rain, etc.) people will dismiss the whole theory! local climate will go through many changes just as it always had. we had a crazy rainy winter in 1996 but 1995 was a drought year. so what? we need to start thinking globally and long term and not freak out because we're about to enter another drought cycle...
