It's Got to Be the Morning After

-The Sharkies lost to the Dallas Stars, 4-3. It's the second consecutive loss against the Stars this week and who does the NHL scheduling anyways? It's also the Sharks third consecutive home loss. Their main culprit? Lousy power plays. So, does all this mean the Sharks need to bring in some more veteran guys?

-The hype on the Raiders probable draft pick, JaMarcus Russell, begins as he hires the man who worked with Tom Brady to work with him. The guy loves Russell. But did the Raiders hire an offensive coordinator good enough to work with him. After all, JaMarcus Russell is another way of spelling Michael Vick and the new Raiders OC didn't do such a great job with Vick.

-Stanford women hammer UCSB. Go Gauchos!

-The fact that there's two African-American coaches in the Super Bowl for the first time ever is partly due to Bill Walsh.

-If Mike Singletary is supposed to be such a good defensive coach, or at least according to all the hype these days, why didn't he become the defensive coordinator?

-What caused Fred Biletnikoff to leave the Raiders? Was it the way Al treated Art Shell or was it having to deal with Porter and Moss?

-What's with the Warriors D? Does Nellie ever care about the D?

-Golden State of Mind, however, interviews Marcus Thompson of Hoopshype.com.

-Athletics Nation interviews Billy Beane. Gotta love Beane for taking the time out to give lengthy interviews to bloggers. We just don't see Brian Sabaen doing that, but on the other hand, Beane won't have to spend the entire time trying to explain what happened to the farm system and why the shelled out $16 million for Barry Bonds.

-We're only two days away from the most glorious day of the year, the day pitchers and catchers report and El Lefty is already looking forward to certain moments of the 2007 season.
